Old farmer or campesino. Notice the bench, made out of strips and poles of Guadua, Colombia's iconic bamboo.
That he is barefooted does not mean he is poor. He does well, but some campesinos just don't like shoes. Indeed, it is said that some were so unused to wearing them in the past, that they just fell down when trying to walk with shoes on.
